Hey everyone, I recently converted to five-speed in the TT Z. I'm just looking for input on some of the things I did. In the attached picture all three plugs were retained but only the speed sensor wires are actually connected to anything. Every other wire is terminated sporadically as it goes to the transmission. I did this purely for aesthetic reasons. So the few question I have. Running directly from that plug to the transmission is ok. Yes / No. I'm getting a vehicle speed sensor code now. The speedometer works and there are no continuity issues between the sensor and plug. Another question. After the swap can I simply remove the TCM? I know on the pin out for the ECU there are only two pins that reference the TCM. I'm assuming thats for a light during diagnostics.
